The first match of the new year saw Didcot Dragons 2 take on Oxford City 3 at St Gregory the Great Catholic School, Oxford on Sunday 8th January 2017.  We were quite clearly ahead of Oxford throughout the match until the very end which took a turn towards a 10-10 draw.  Luckily we pulled it around to our favour when Becky Lewis scored the winning goal.  Well done Becky and well done Dragons 2 for a another fantastic win!  The final score resulted in 11-10 to our team.

Next week Didcot Dragons 2 will be playing against Isis 3 at 6pm.

Dan did an exceptional job in giving viewers the lowdown on our dynamic team and promoting the club as a friendliest korfball team in Didcot!  For those who missed it, here it is again to catch up:

The new korfball season is upon us and on Sunday 2nd October 2016 Didcot Dragons 1 and Didcot Dragons 2 took to the court once again in a head-to-head battle to mark the beginning of the season.  With the first team opposing the second team, the match was inevitably going to be a Didcot wipe-out, but which team were to triumph was anyone’s guess?!

With Dragons 2 with one player down, Dragons 1 stormed ahead in the end in a knock out victory of 26-6.  Fantastic goals were scored by many players and both teams pulled together and played tremendously in a force of fiery wills to do their best for their teammates.  Well done to all who played to such a high standard on Sunday and thank you to all supporters who came to cheer us on from the sidelines.  Here’s to another fantastic korfball season 2016/2017!  Go DRAGONS!
